How to correctly select UPVC/CPVC Ⅱ ball valve? Key parameters and working condition matching guide

UPVC (unplasticized polyvinyl chloride) and CPVC (chlorinated polyvinyl chloride) Ⅱ ball valves are widely used in many industries due to their excellent corrosion resistance, lightweight design and economy. Correct selection requires comprehensive consideration of material properties, working conditions and industry standards. The following are key selection factors and typical industry application matching guides:

1. Media compatibility: chemical corrosion and fluid type
Safe Drinking Water & Drinking Water: Must comply with FDA or NSF standards to ensure that no harmful substances are precipitated. UPVC ball valves are more suitable due to their low toxicity.

Industrial Wastewater & Industrial Water Treatment: Must be resistant to acids, alkalis, salts and organic solvents. CPVC is suitable for high-temperature wastewater scenarios due to its higher temperature resistance (up to 90°C).

Electronic Semiconductor & Medicine: High-purity media require the inner wall of the valve body to be smooth and free of residue. UPVC/CPVC ball valves need to be equipped with high-precision polishing technology.

2. Temperature and pressure range
Photovoltaic: Cooling fluid or acid-base circulation system is usually at medium and low temperature (0~60°C), UPVC can meet the requirements.
Metallurgy: It may be exposed to high temperature pickling liquid (such as sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid), and CPVC has better temperature resistance (-10°C~110°C).
Nuclear Power: Auxiliary water system needs radiation resistance and long-term stability, and CPVC modified materials or special coatings may be necessary options.

3. Structural design and industry specifications
Fireproof and anti-static requirements: Chemical or Electronic Semiconductor industries may require anti-static valve stem design.

Connection method:
Industrial Water Treatment often uses flange connection to facilitate disassembly and maintenance.
The Medicine industry tends to use sanitary quick-release clamp connection.

4. Industry-specific certifications
Safe Drinking Water requires NSF/ANSI 61 certification.
Nuclear Power needs to meet ASME NQA-1 nuclear grade standards.
Electronic Semiconductor may require SEMI F72 cleanliness certification.
