In chemical fluid systems, UPVC/CPVC ball-bottom valves have become the preferred valve type in many key industries due to their excellent corrosion resistance, lightweight design and reliable sealing performance. The following are its core roles and installation points in various industries:

1. The key role of ball-bottom valves
Safe sealing and fluid control
The ball-bottom valve adopts a spherical closing structure, which can achieve rapid opening and closing, effectively prevent medium leakage, and is suitable for high-purity or hazardous fluids (such as acids, alkalis, and organic solvents).
In the electronic semiconductor and photovoltaic industries, valves need to avoid metal ion contamination. UPVC/CPVC materials are perfectly suitable for ultrapure water, etching solutions and other media.

Corrosion resistance and long life
CPVC is resistant to high temperatures (up to 90°C or above), suitable for cooling water systems in nuclear power plants or pickling processes in the metallurgy industry.

Material adaptability check
Confirm the compatibility of the medium with UPVC/CPVC (such as concentrated sulfuric acid and benzene solvents may require special materials).
In the hydrofluoric acid (HF) environment of the photovoltaic industry, CPVC reinforced valve body must be selected.

Pipeline support and alignment
Plastic valves are less rigid than metal valves, and brackets must be added during installation to avoid deformation due to pipeline stress, especially in the high-pressure pipelines of nuclear power plants.

Sealing and fastening
When flange or threaded connection is used, the bolts need to be tightened evenly to prevent local stress cracking (such as PVDF piping system in semiconductor industry).
It is recommended to use EPDM or PTFE materials for sealing gaskets to adapt to high temperature conditions (such as steam pipelines in metallurgical industry).

Operating environment considerations
When installed outdoors (such as water treatment plants), it is necessary to install UV protection covers to prevent UPVC aging.
In the clean workshop of the pharmaceutical industry, the valve needs to be flushed and passivated after installation.

Maintenance and testing
Regularly check the wear of the valve ball and valve seat, especially in the medium containing particles in industrial wastewater.
When the system is put into use for the first time, it is necessary to slowly increase the pressure to test to avoid the impact of water hammer effect on the plastic valve body.
